"Good for sharing, a bit clunky for teamwork"
sync.com has been okay for sharing files with my team. Setting permissions is straightforward, which I do like. But then, I don’t know, the collaboration part feels a little clunky at times. Like updates don’t always show up as quickly as I expect, and when we’re trying to work on the same stuff, it’s not exactly seamless. For just storing and sending files around, it does the job. For actual team workflow, though, it feels average.

The price was decent, but I’m not totally sure the value was there. It felt a bit pricey for what I got, and the most annoying part was getting transferred around when I needed help. By the time I actually got to someone, I was already frustrated

"Two-factor setup was way more frustrating than expected"
I felt a bit misled by how simple the two-factor login setup was supposed to be. It kept failing on me over and over, and I couldn’t tell if I was doing something wrong or if the system just wasn’t working. What should’ve been a quick security step ended up driving me nuts

I don’t know what’s going on with the desktop app, but my gut says it’s just not optimized well. It’s painfully slow and keeps freezing up my laptop, which makes it really frustrating to use.

Trying to manage our team reminded me of those stressful old office days where a simple admin task somehow ate up the whole afternoon. "Wasn’t the right fit for our compliance setup"
We tried using sync.com for our work files, but the compliance and data residency side ended up being more frustrating than expected. I had a hard time getting clear answers on where our data would actually stay and what kind of documentation we could show auditors. Support was polite, but the replies felt slow and a bit generic, if that makes sense. It might be totally fine for simple file storage, but for a company with strict residency requirements, it just didn’t feel like something we could confidently rely on. We ended up moving off it quickly.

"Sync is acting up again"
I’m getting tired of dealing with the same sync issues over and over. Files take forever to show up between my laptop and phone, and half the time I end up restarting the app just to see the latest changes. It’s really frustrating when I’m trying to grab something quickly.

"Web interface feels like a mess"
I’ve been trying to use the web interface, but it’s frustrating. Finding files takes way longer than it should, and the menus feel slow and kind of clunky. I keep clicking around like, wait where did that go? Not a great experiecne so far.

Sync.com has been decent for backing up my files, and I haven’t had any major issues with the storage side of things. But trying to find something later? That’s where it gets annoying. The search can feel slow, and sometimes it doesn’t pull up the files I’m expecting, which kind of defeats the point, doesn’t it? Folder organization works fine if you keep everything really simple, but once you’ve got a bunch of documents in there, it can get messy quickly. Overall, it’s not bad, I just wish managing and searching through files felt a lot smoother.

I got a bit confused trying to change my plan when I needed to. It seemed like something that should’ve been simple, but I couldn’t really make it work. The plans feel way too rigid for what I needed.

"Wish I’d Read the Reviews First"
I thought the backup was working fine, but when I actually needed to restore my files, that’s when everything fell apart. Some folders were just missing, and the app kept freezing or stalling during the process. I contacted support, but they were slow to respond and didn’t really solve the issue. I ended up wasting so much time, i regret not reading more reviews before trusting it. I won’t be using it again

I really wish I had read the reviews before downloading this app. Every time I try to upload photos, it freezes on me, and it’s so frustrating. I kept thinking it might just be a one-time thing, but nope, it happens constantly. Annoying experience overall.

I’ll give Sync.com credit because it did save me once when I needed an older version of a file, which was a huge relief in the moment. I was kind of panicking, clicked around, and eventually found what I needed, so yes, the feature definitely works. That said, actually getting to the right version felt a little clunky, like I had to slow down and think through where everything was instead of it just being obvious. Not a dealbreaker or anything, and I’m glad it was there, but I do wish the whole recovery process felt smoother and quicker
"Frustrating to use across my devices"
I use Windows at work, a Mac at home, and my phone in between, and Sync.com has been annoying. Files don’t always update properly, and the app feels different depending on what device I’m on. I’ve spent way too much time trying to fix Sync.coming issues instead of just getting my work done. Also, I kept getting the feeling there might be extra costs or hidden fees around features I’d actually need, which didn’t make me feel any better about it...

I ran into a sync problem and ended up contacting support twice. Twice. It took days just to hear back, and when they finally replied, the answer wasn’t really useful. I’m still waiting for an actual fix now. For something I’m paying for, it’s really frustrating and definitely not what I expected.

"Support was alright, but it took some time"
My files wasn't syncing properly, so I reached out to support. They did get back to me, but it took longer than I expected, and I had to explain the problem twice. They fixed it eventually, which was good, but the whole process feel a bit slow. Not awful or anything, just kind of average.

"Large uploads were frustrating"
I tried using sync.com with a few big video files, it was a rough experience. The uploads kept slowing way down or starting over, and I couldn’t really tell what was happening half the time. Maybe it was partly my connection or just bad timing, but it still got annoying.
I felt like I had to keep checking on the app instead of just letting it run in the background. For smaller files, I can see it being totally fine, and I don’t think the whole service is bad or anything. I just probably wouldn’t rely on it again for really large files.

The storage is okay overall, but I ended up hitting the limit a lot faster than I expected. My sister and I both thought it would last me longer, so that was a bit disappointing

"Sync goes down too much for me"
I really wanted to like Sync.com because I’ve been trying to keep all my work files in one place, especially since I jump between my laptop and desktop depending on whether I’m at my desk or on the couch. But the uptime has been rough. Files won’t load, the app freezes or just gets stuck, and when I reach out to support, the answer is basically to wait. I don’t mind the occasional glitch, but this has happened enough that I just can’t trust it for work stuff.
